negating adverbials

This has probably been asked many times before, but I’m going to ask… How does one negate an adverbial like {reH} or {tlhoy}? While writing closed captions for a video I recently recorded [1], I realized that I apparently tried to do this by negating the verb, but I have no idea if that actually works. The two examples where it came up were: {reH qaSbe'} {tlhoy nI'be' HaSta tavam 'e' vItul} The intended meanings were “It didn’t always happen” and “I hope this visual record is not too long”, respectively, but upon review, it seems like out of context (maybe even in context) they mean “it always didn’t happen” and “I hope this visual record is too not long”, respectively. So… what would have been the right way to say those things? Or is this another thing we don’t know yet? If there is not an english mis- de- dis- word ?

Adding the -Ha' on a klingon verb, produces the meaning of mis-, de-, dis-. Does this mean, that if there isn't a corresponding mis-, de-, dis- english word, the klingon word can't take the -Ha' ? ~ Capricorn (pong vIwIvlaHbe' jay'!)

'erqul powagho'

Apparently, the older works of Agatha Christie (a.k.a. ‘agha’tlha’ QIStIy) are in the Public Domain. Of particular interest to me is her first novel, featuring the famous detective Hercule Poirot (a.k.a. ‘erqul powagho’), entitled “The Mysterious Affair at Styles, ({SetayleSDaq Soj poymar} in the original Klingon). Of particular interest to me is the way that the original title referred to the use of poison IN THE FOOD, while the translators mistakenly interpreted {Soj} in the title to mean “affair” or “matter", as is one of the more abstract uses of the term, as in {tlhIngan Soj ‘oH; not bIyaj} meaning “It is a Klingon matter; you wouldn’t understand." I will take it on as a long-term mission to translate this great literary work back into the original Klingon. Likely, I’ll never finish it, but, one must have a mission. charghwI’ vaghnerya’ngan
