Hello dear friends of the Klingon language, a friend of mine surprised me with a gift of a Klingon domain. Since I already own several webpages about different information about the Klingon language, I decided to use this domain for a very simple purpose, which I hope may be useful for anyone learning Klingon while traveling around: I've set it up as a simple bookmark page with links to the most important pages you may need to search, or if you want to save time typing them, or want to tell a friend to go to etc. Just memorize tlhIngan Hol dot com or click here: http://www.tlhInganHol.com -- Lieven L. Oh, I guess so - and most results lead to Klingon on Wikipedia, which is not really helpful then. -- Lieven L. Litaer aka the "Klingon Teacher from Germany" http://www.klingonisch.de http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/KlingonLanguageWiki

Any chance of adding a language selector for non-German speakers that leads to other resources? Right now it's not much use if you don't speak German. :) This page on the KAG website has more Klingon (language and otherwise) resources: https://www.kag.org/about/other-resources/. If anyone knows of any useful sites I'm missing on this page, please let me know so I can add them! qurgh On Fri, Feb 22, 2019, 8:17 AM Lieven L. Litaer <levinius@gmx.de> wrote:

Hm... really? Only 2 of 8 linked pages are purely in German. Have you noticed the different colors? They're language related :-)

Oh, yes it surely does. My link page is intentionally very short and brief as a first jump portal. It's not intended as a list of resources, more for those people who already know where they are going, but may forgot how to spell "klingonska" or "qephom" or forgot if it was org or com or net and so on. -- Lieven L. All I see on my phone is a very large graphic that seems to all be in German with a big picture of you (the non responsive nature of the page makes it hard to read the text on my phone). The only different color text I see is the blue email address. I'm not talking about the pages the graphic leads too, but the graphic itself. The link doesn't seem very useful for a new student of the language.

So it's a jumping off point for folks looking for European Klingon stuff, not for global Klingon language resources. That's cool, just not what I was expecting from the description in your OP. :) qurgh

It looks to me like a promotional site for Lieven. That's fine, he's got stuff to promote, but probably only of limited interest to this list. -- SuStel http://trimboli.name

Yes, you are right, but that's the old version you're seeing. That's really weird. I guess the US DNS servers have not yet updated their IP lists. Maybe wait a few days, then you'll get the version which IS intersting for the list. -- Lieven L. Oooohh... yes. What you're seeing is something else, indeed intended for German users only. It seems you were forwarded to klingonisch.com The website is very new... It seems like your DNS server cache has not yet been updated. Maybe you can manually flush that? I also see this, from Switzerland. The DNS update probably hasn't even propagated out of Germany yet. ;-) -- De'vID
I am seeing a simple page with just a list of references in a LCARS-Style. And thanks for that, it is a good Idea especially for giving to interested people. But one point is irritating me: Is it just me or is the Tab-Title wrong? With me it says: "tlhIngan Hol Hol Dajatlh'a'?" Shouldn't it just be "tlhIngan Hol Dajatlh'a'?" What does the second Hol do? Also I would try to make it more clear, that the DE NL ... part just is referencing the source above. I first thought it was some kind of menu-option. It is a bit confusing there. Otherwise a great Idea. Thanks for that. Greetings rIyqa Am 22.02.2019 um 16:34 schrieb Lieven L. Litaer:

Thanks. At least one :-) Which country?

Oh, yes. no. Having the word makes no sense at all, it's just double. I was just laughing because it was an obvious mistake; I already fixed that. -- Lieven L. Litaer aka the "Klingon Teacher from Germany" http://www.klingonisch.de http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/StarTrekDiscovery

Okay. That makes more sense, however I had never gone to that site before, so it shouldn't have been in my phone's DNS cache. I assume that you pointed to Klingonisch.com when you first got it, and recently changed it to point to a new IP. I'm using Google's DNS servers so the update hasn't propagated that far yet. Hopefully once they get the updated information it'll start working. On my laptop it's still redirecting to http://www.klingonisch.com/ which is now just showing the message "Server Online!"
