For signing up, and logging in and out of an account: --- begin quote --- For the Netflix stuff connected with “Discovery,” the word {mab} “agreement, treaty, contract” was used for “account,” so I’d stick with that. It follows that “register for” or “sign up for” (an account) would be {qI’} “sign [a treaty].” So “register for an account” is {mab qI’}. Maltz says “sign/log in” is {ngaQHa’moH} (and “sign out” is {ngaQmoH}). People say {mab ngaQmoH} and so on, but this is a special formation, special argot, frozen form. Maltz said he thinks this may have been shortened from an earlier way to say it, something like {mab Hung lojmIt ngaQmoH}. To “sign up” for an event is something else. That would be {jeS ’e’ Sap} “volunteer to participate” (even if the signing up isn’t all that voluntary). I'm sending them in individual messages to keep the subject line separated. ---begin quote------------ Perhaps the verb {patlh} "be ranked, have a status, be graded" will work. The form {patlhmoH} would mean "rank, assign status, sort" and also "compare." When used with the "compare" meaning, of course, the object of the verb is always plural. Rovers and -Qo'

Hello tlhIngan Hol jatlhwI'pu :) I was wondering something about rovers: can -Qo’ be followed by -be’ and/or -qu’? (Not -Ha’ obviously) Rovers [...] do not have a fixed position in relation to the other suffixes following a verb but, instead, can come just about anywhere except following a type 9 suffix. Their position is determined by the meaning intended (TKD 4.3)Unlike -be’ the position of -Qo’ does not change: it occurs last, unless followed by a type 9 suffix. (TKD 4.3.) Does the 2nd statement intend to exclude just the type 1 to 8 suffixes from following -Qo’, or does it also ban other rovers (-be’ and -qu’) from coming after --Qo’? Because it could be interesting, if it is allowed, to express various degrees of refusal through it: leghQo’ : he refuses to see him (?) leghQo’qu' : he *absolutely* refuses to see him (?) leghQo’be’ : he does not refuse to see him (?) leghQo’be’qu’ : he really does not refuse to see him (perhaps it means he is eager to see him, and for this meaning we could use leghqangqu’) (?) leghQo’qu’be’ : he does not refuse categorically to see him Has this already been discussed somewhere else? Adverbiality and the verb {Da}

Hello all! Today I was wondering about something: - A adverb, by definition, is used to specify the manner in which an action is carried out - The Klingon verb {Da} means "behave as, act in the manner of" Taking this into account, wouldn't it make sense to use <noun + Da> to convey the same meaning as an adverb?
