I want to say "the romulan smashes the klingon's head on the table". Suppose I write: {raSDaq tlhIngan nach qIp romuluSngan}. If I read this without any context, I'd understand that the klingon and the romulan sit at the table, and there, the romulan hits the head of the klingon (by his fist, a weapon, etc..). Not that the romulan smashes the klingon's head on the table. Could it mean however, that too ? Anyways, alternatively I could write: {tlhIngan nachvaD raS qIpmoH romuluSngan} Is that better/preferable, with regards to the first option ? ~ changan qIj za dashu snaku zigur, durbgu nazgshu, durbgu dashshu

i'm almost certain this has been discussed in the past, but I don't remember what had been decided. Do we say {Duj 'ar wIghaj}, or {Duj 'ar DIghaj} ? I'd tend towards the latter, since what we're actually asking is, "how many ships do we have ?". But I'd like to know, if there's a definite answer with regards to this matter, or it's just another "use the force" problem. ~ qnqnqnn

I'm talking about cats in general.. And after I've talked for quite some time, I want to shift the topic of the discussion to the ancient cats in particular. Would the following be correct/acceptable ? {yadda yadda yadda vIghro'mey, yadda yadda yadda vIghro'mey, yadda yadda yadda vIghro'mey, yadda yadda yadda vIghro'mey. vIghro'mey tIQ'e'.. (as for the ancient cats..) ..and the yadda yadda continues, but now for the ancient cats..} Would this use of {-'e'} in order to describe a change of topic/the next topic, be correct ?
