Regarding the problem we recently had with {'ar}, Okrand answered: Plural if the questioned noun can be singular or plural (it lacks a plural suffix) and the translation is “how many?”; singular if the questioned noun is something that can’t be counted and the translation is “how much?” So {Duj ’ar DIlegh?} “How many ships do we see?” {bIQ ’ar wIlegh?} “How much water do we see?” -- Lieven L. expressing "relationship" and "relation/related"

For quite some time now, I've been wondering how to say "relationship", as in "I'm in a relationship with that woman", or "we've a business relationship". Finally, lacking a better alternative, I decided to be using the noun {boq} "alliance, bloc, coalition". .. Which of course, isn't ideal, but I can't find anything better. I'm still wondering though, how to say things like "what's the relation between these two events ?" or "how are these two events related ?". ~ bara'qa'

The verb {Haw'} is defined as "flee, get out". Now read the relevant definitions of "flee", from the marrion-webster. a : to run away often from danger or evil. b : to hurry toward a place of security. And now, I ask.. Does the {Haw'} *have* to always have the sense of "getting out in a hurry" ? Can't I use it, to mean the "simple/relaxed/casual" getting out from a place ? Because, if the only meaning it can have, is the *getting out in a hurry", then how the frack, do I express the "getting out of" of the simple kind ? ~ mhhmhm

Suppose I write: {'elaDya' SepDaq vIghro'mey tIQ tu'lu'}. This would mean: "there are ancient cats at the region of greece". Now, suppose I write: {'elaDya' DaqDaq vIghro'mey tIQ tu'lu'} The way I understand it, this would mean "there are ancient cats at the site/location of greece". And the only difference I "feel", is that perhaps this sentence focuses more on the "location". However, since I'm not a native english speaker, I wonder: Meaning-wise, what's the actual difference between this and the first sentence ? Do you, as native american speakers, "feel" any difference between these two sentences ? ~ bara'qa'
