Dear friends of the Klingon language, you are certainly aware of the Klingon Language Wiki that I have been working on for the past five years, as it's regularly quoted and some people even go there to find answers. Over the past few years, Maltz has revealed tons of useful information. Adding new words lists is quite easy, but all of the grammatical details is some more work (although not difficult). The problem is: The wiki is no more up to date. In many places it says "we don't know how to do that", "Need to ask Maltz", or "that's not canon". That's why I call for assistance. Your help is not to improve "my" wiki. Your help is to edit "our" database that's useful for all Klingonists of the world, a reference to all useful information on the Klingon language. That's why it's build up as a wiki: Everyone can edit. Everyone can add details. So, once you see that something in the wiki is definitely not correct, please just click on edit and change it. Sepqep mu’ chu’

Hello one and all! Today is the start of the galaxy’s first Sepqep! To help celebrate and make this day a little more special, I sent a small chabal tets to Maltz’s very good friend, Dr. Marc Okrand. We had a few questions about Morskan vocabulary to which Maltz didn’t feel he could respond (for now anyway), but he did give us the official Klingon versions of two Terran place names: the US state of Texas and it’s capital, Austin. Suppose I write: {raS retlhDaq Qot voDleH; pa' Qotbogh je nuvpu'vaD jatlh..} for: "the emperor was reclining next to the table; he said for the people who were reclining there too.." Would the klingon sentence be grammatically correct ? I'm troubled by the {je} following a {-bogh} clause, and I don't know whether the {pa'} can refer *only* to the {Qotbogh}. I know I could express the desired meaning in other ways too, but I can't stop wondering whether the klingon sentence is actually correct. ~ bara'qa'

Star Trek "Demons" fan film

A while ago I was alerted to a Star Trek fan film with a Klingon story line. I inquired about it and the production staff was going to mimic TOS production values and just have their Klingons speak English. The first half has just been released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq5Iu0reaD0 It seems that they've somewhat changed their minds as their Klingons have a TNG aesthetic. Also, there's a short scene with a bit of onscreen "Klingon" (which is actually English written using a {pIqaD} font). The Klingon actually says a short sentence which doesn't sound like real Klingon to me, but maybe it is and I just don't understand it. In fact, it reminds me of K'Tuvma's voice, which makes me wonder if it wasn't a sentence fragment lifted out of Star Trek Discovery. how do we say "from where did you ..."

How do I say "from where did you send the envelope ?" ? {nuqDaqvo' nav vaH DangeHpu' ?} I don't think that's correct. Or should I write: {Daqvo' nav vaH DangeHpu'; nuq 'oH Daqvam'e' ?} You sent the envelope from a location; what's this location ? or {Daqvo' nav vaH DangeHpu'; Daqvam yIngu'} You sent the envelope from a location; identify this location Perhaps the above are preferable, but can't I express the intended meaning in just one sentence ? ~ bara'qa'
