Someone says: {vIghro' leghbe' vavoywI'} for "my daddy didn't see the cat". The one who says this sentence, expresses endearment toward her father. On the other hand, if someone says {vIghro' leghbe' vavoylI'}, then what is actually happening ? Does the one who says this sentence, describe the endearment that "the other person has toward her father" ? Or by using the word {vavoy}, does he express an endearment on his behalf toward her father ? qunnoq

Pluralizing inherently plural nouns

If have an inherently plural noun, e.g. {ray'} for "targets", and we want to express "many targets", then what do we say ? {ray'mey} or {ray' law'} ? qunnoq

Someone recently used {yIvoq 'ach lojmItmey yISam}. At first, I corrected the writer with {tISam} but was then told it was a quote from TKW: yIvoq 'ach lojmItmey yISam Trust, but locate the doors. TKW (sic for {tISam}) Has this usage ever been explained? Was it a typographical error by the booksetter? A thinko by the author? Is it a survivor of older Klingon grammar? Or an innovation by some Klingons like {puqpu' tu'lu'}, similar to "Who did you see?" in English? Should the prefix be corrected to {tISam} when quoting the proverb? Proper use of adverbial {je}

According to tkd, we can use the adverbial {je} in this way: {qaleghpu' je} I saw you too With the ambiguity of course being, "I and others saw you or I saw you and others". All these are known, however I would like to ask if the following would be a correct use of {je} too: {'IH Da'vI'lIj 'e' vIHar; 'IH vIghrolIj 'e' vIHar je} Your duck is beautiful, I believe it; your cat is beautiful, I believe it too. qunnoq
