Hi, Does anyone have a copy of this that they can take a photo of (the Klingon language bits) and send me? Quite a bit of new vocabulary (at the time) appeared in it, but I've never seen the full magazine myself, only text snippets containing the vocabulary. I'd like to see the Klingon vocabulary in context myself. I'm wondering, for example, why we have the names of actors but not their Klingon characters. -- De'vID

Klingon Language Publication

Hi, all! In the past couple of months I've become increasingly interested in creating a Klingon-language publication, something along the lines of jatmey, though slightly longer, and either publishing it out of my workshop or through the KLI's press. Short stories, poems, comics, articles about current events, even Klingon-themed/inspired art (either fan-art or how one thinks Klingon art/music/culture would look in-universe). Here's an outline of what I imagined as a typical issue: -Introduction to this issue -Short stories -Poetry -Comic Strips -Art/Sheet music and lyrics/recipes written in Klingon -Poetry -Joke(s) -Longer short story/ies -New Words from Maltz since the last issue (if applicable) *Illustrations throughout* It would be 50-70 pages, published twice a year, and distributed via snail mail and digitally. There would need to be consistent submissions by experienced speakers of tlhIngan Hol and there would need to be someone who could spell/grammar check each addition. Ideally, this latter role would be filled by a pab pIn. {boQwI'} for iOS

Hi all, I've been working on porting the popular {boQwI'} Klingon Assistant program to iOS. I plan to publish it to the App Store within the next few weeks; if you are interested in testing it before the more general public availability, just e-mail me off list and I can send you an invitation to test via the App Store's "TestFlight" mechanism. The port is being done in Flutter, which supports iOS 8.0 and later on 64-bit iOS devices. Unfortunately I didn't realize that Flutter doesn't support 32-bit iOS devices until the port was already pretty far along, but hopefully there won't be too many people who would otherwise be interested in running boQwI' that get left behind by that hardware support gap. I was under the impression, that {meH}ed nouns as {QongmeH Duj} don't take verb prefixes. However, a little bird told me that on "s.e. 1998.01.18" (whatever the ghe''or "s.e." actually is..), there is the canon sentence of: {jIpaSqu'mo' narghpu' qaSuchmeH 'eb} because I'm very late, the opportunity to visit you has escaped And here, we *do* have a verb prefix on a {meH}ed noun. ~ nI'ghma
