-meH nouns

Which nouns make sense in a {[verb]meH [noun]} phrase? In a discussion in Facebook, someone asked to translate "Tell me why you did that" and I suggested {DamaghmeH meqlIj yIDel} "describe your reason for betraying him". Somebody corrected me that the noun in such a phrase should be some kind of tool, as in {pe'meH taj} and {ja'chuqmeH rojHom}. Is there any evidence for or against any of this? I feel that {maghmeH meq} sounds reasonable (no pun intended) but others don't. -- Lieven L. I would add that there is a sentence in paq'batlh: DaH naDev jIHtaHbogh meq Saja' (interestingly, in {qamchIyDaq 'uQ'a'}) Before the qep'a', I suggested (apparently, on FB) that Maltz comments on the grammar of this sentence; hopefully, more light will be shed at the upcoming qepHom'a'. I am also quite interested in which nouns can serve as head nouns of a {-bogh} clause when the clause relates to its own entirety rather than to its subject or object (poH? ngoD/ghu'? Daq? nger/qech?).

Can we write {jIDIl} for "I pay" ? Or {DIl 'Iv ?} for "who will pay ?" ? Or since the translation of {DIl} is given as "pay for", it always needs to have an object ? qunnoq

The {-chuqmoH}

I was wondering whether there is any sense in using the {-chuqmoH}, and if yes, then how is it to be used ? For example, lets say we place the {-chuqmoH} on a be-verb. If we write {pImchuqmoH} then does this mean "they made each other different" ? And could we write {romuluSngan DIpImchuqmoH} for "we made the romulans different to each other" ? On the other hand, if we placed the {-chuqmoH} on a verb which takes an object, then would the following be correct ? {romuluSngan DIleghchuqmoH} for "we made the romulans see each other" ? qunnoq
