There is something I don't understand, and if someone could explain it, I would be grateful. If I write: {tlhoS, nuv jub moj ghaH} Then does it mean: 1. He almost became an immortal person or 2. He became almost immortal ? Does the {tlhoS} modify only the {moj}, or only the {jub} ? Or both ? Or any of the two depending on context ? ~ nI'ghma

I agree with your analysis loghaD. I have to admit, that I didn't quite like it either, the original sentence {wa'maH tup qaSpa' jajlo', vIghro' vIlegh}. Which of course raises the question "if I didn't like it, then why did I write it ?". It is just that I couldn't find another way to express the intented meaning. Anyway, seemingly/apparently, we can't adequately express these kinds of phrases in klingon. The 25th Great Meeting of the Klingon Language Institute (qep'a' cha'maH vaghDIch) will be held July 19-21, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
