peqIm, I am always telling people that when they want to write and print something in Klingon, they should use the typographical apostrophe that looks like a small "9", or like a flying comma. This has been used like this on Okrand's 3 books, but otherwise I started to wonder... why? Is there any reason or source or whatever that says that {’orwI’} is better than {'orwI'}? Does this {'} mean anything else than {’}? Or is this just for the look? -- Lieven L. I was wondering whether a noun which has the {-'e'} as a topic marker, can be used as the object of the verb as well. Is the following correct ? {verengan Ha'DIbaH'e' Darurbej} as for a ferengi dog, you definitely resemble him Or would the translation of the above klingon sentence be only "you definitely resemble a FERENGI DOG" ? ~ nIghma'

And it gets worst if you want to use the "the things which you want to learn", in a sentence. I've (or is it I 've ?), been trying since yesterday to say "the things which you want to learn", but I just can't find a way. If I write {Dochmey Daghojbogh DaneH}, I think it means "you want the things which you learn". If I write {Dochmey Daghoj DaneHbogh}, I get the impression that it means "you learn the things which you want it". Can someone tell me, how I can translate in klingon "the things which you want to learn" ? It seems such a simple phrase, however I can't find a way to say it, and it drives me crazy. ~ nIghma'

We know that we can't say {nuq jar DamaS} for "which month you prefer ?". But if we say: {jar'e' nuq DamaS ?} as for a month, which do you prefer ? Would this be correct ? ~ nIghma'

soliciting feedback for {boQwI'}

As many people here may know, I have an app for Android called {boQwI'} which has a lexicon lookup and grammatical analysis tool for Klingon. Due to interest in the Klingon language because of Star Trek: Discovery, and also courses taught by Lieven and André where the app has been mentioned, I've recently received a lot of feedback from beginners on how the app could be more useful. It occurred to me that most people don't give feedback, and those who do may not be representative. So I'm soliciting feedback: if you're a beginner or intermediate student of Klingon, what would you want in an app? I'll be releasing a new version around Nov. 16 (during the Saarbrücken qepHom), and your input will help me prioritise what to add/fix in the next couple of weeks. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tlhInganHo l.android.klingonassistant Also, I'm still looking for a volunteer to port the app to iOS, which is by far the most frequent request. It looks like a big project to port the whole app, but for a first version, it would be sufficient just to treat the database as a simple dictionary and do a verbatim search (i.e., no identifying parts of speech, prefixes, suffixes, etc.) For an experienced iOS dev, I'd think this would take a few days at most.
