If we want to say "I gave the knife to the officer", we say {yaSvaD taj vInob}. Can someone please explain, why it would be wrong to say {yaSDaq taj vInob} ? ~ bara'qa'

is {ghaHvaD nuq Dapong} correct ?

There's something I'm wondering, with regards to the {ghaHvaD nuq Dapong}. Lets assume, I want to ask someome, how someone is called. And I say: {ghaHvaD nuq Dapong ?}. There's something in this sentence, that seems weird to me.. Assume the guy's name is "peter". The word "peter", takes the place of {nuq}, so the person asked, could probably reply by saying: {ghaHvaD peter vIpong}. But then we would have nuq = peter. But how can "peter" be a "what" ? In klingon, does the verb {ngagh} apply only to animals ? Can a man {ngagh} with a woman ? Or is it, that for sex between humans, only the verb {nga'chuq} can be used ? ~ mayqel qunen'oS
