Sorry, I knew there was yet another one, but I couldn't remember it. Last question for now, I promise :-) SaqSub’e’ muSHa’bogh pawmeH leng qeylIS HuDmey Sal ghIq ghIr (paq'raD 7, 1-3) Since there is only one noun in the relative clause, we don't need *-'e'* to know what's the object of *paw*. On the other side, *-'e'* is always optional in a relative clause. So, is it here just out of stylistic reasons, like the rhythm of the verse? (By the way, what do we know about Klingon meter?). Thank you!

Some years ago I was discussing here the meaning of the suffix *-'e'* and I got, as always, very helpful answers. However, I find from time to time canonical examples that I cannot understand completely. It would be great if someone could explain the meaning of *-'e'* in these two excerpts of the paq'batlh: Dung qo’ lupawDI’ chaH qeylIS qorDu’Daj je ta’’e’ neH bop bommey (paq'raD 9, 4-6) veng ’elDI’ ghaH pawpa’ ghaH’e’ paw lutDaj ’e’ Sov qeylIS (paq'raD 10, 1-3) Thank you very much!

*qep'a' wejmaH wejDIch* *the thirty-third Grand Meeting* of the Klingon Language Institute is set for Thursday, July 9 through Saturday, July 11, 2026. Once again we will meet at the Hyatt Place Indianapolis Airport. Klingon language creator Marc Okrand will again be in attendance! There will be activities for students of all abilities.
