Well, while I was adding all the qep'a' 30 words, including the 104 place names and the 36 language names, to https://www.frathwiki.com/Klingon/lexicon a few days ago, I decideft to paste all the entries into a spreadsheet program and count them. I got 5,158 words. Turns out the lexicon of Klingon has surpassed the 5,000 mark! 8)

I do remember reading that Klingons were of crustacean descent, so you're right, it was prudent to ask. The word *targhoroj* (targ + Joro spider?) is defined as only one of many types of crab-like creatures on Kronos, so perhaps there are all sorts of crustaceans on the planet. Nice to see a word I requested becoming KWotD! I was the one who asked for a word for "chromosome" on chabal tetlh, back in 2020 or 2021. (My other request that year, "Jew", still has yet to make it in.) And yes, I did also mention that I wanted the words for X and Y chromosomes -- or W and Z chromosomes, "if that's what Klingons have".
