I do remember reading that Klingons were of crustacean descent, so you're right, it was prudent to ask. The word *targhoroj* (targ + Joro spider?) is defined as only one of many types of crab-like creatures on Kronos, so perhaps there are all sorts of crustaceans on the planet. Perhaps having many crab-like creatures is a reference to the phenomenon of carcinization?

And yes, I did also mention that I wanted the words for X and Y chromosomes -- or W and Z chromosomes, "if that's what Klingons >have". We learn that Klingons have an XX-XY system like mammals, instead of a ZZ-ZW system like birds.

Didn't Klingons evolve from crustaceans?

At least based on my cursory web search, both systems (plus some others!) are present in different species of Earth crustaceans, so I guess you wouldn't expect either of the options to be more or less likely.
