Thank you for your answers! I was asking because, at least in Spanish or German, we always say "the clouds are hiding the sky", even though it is just a "mass" of clouds in which you cannot distinguish one from the other. And I wanted to know if Klingon works this way or there is another explanation. Maybe it's just as Lieven or ghunchu'wI' said: Klingons think of clouds as an "entity" or something like the word "rock". Or the sentence really means only one cloud, as charghwI' says. Perhaps there is someday a clarification.

Shouldn't these sentences have the prefix *lu-*, since we are speaking of "clouds" (plural)? Or is it a "weather exception"? --- Gesendet: Mittwoch, 17. I just deciphered my first pun of the 2025 qepHom: At first, I puzzled over *SIq'ang*, the word for the pole of a planet. Nothing forward comes to mind. So let's look at it backwards: *nga'qIS*. There is no word that's just plain *nga'*, at least not in canon. But I realized that *nga'chuq* is "have sex". And *qIS* has a similar meaning: "be libidinous". Then it hit me: it's a reference to _Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn_ by Henry Miller!
