In {paq'batlh}, "Praxis" (the Klingon moon) was written as {pIraQSIS} on p. 118-119 in the original printing (which I have). It has been consistently translated as {pIraqSIS} elsewhere. I've been told the spelling in the {paq'batlh} was a typo which may have been corrected in later printings. Does anyone have a later printing who can confirm? -- De'vID
You may be right, but what do you mean by “consistently translated as {pIraqSIS} elsewhere”? The only example I know of is from Klingon Monopoly: pIraqSIS HoS waw' ghajlu'chugh, loSlogh boq'egh mI' naghmey mI'; chen qav'ap If Praxis Energy Facility is owned, rent is 4 times amount shown on dice. (MKE) FYI the paq’batlh example is: pIraQSIS maS bIngDaq pIgh rur SaqSub chIm choSlu’pu’bogh The Saq'sub lay empty and desolate under the Praxis moon. Yes, you're right, I thought there were other canon examples but there were not. On Wed, 8 Aug 2018 at 16:17, Steven Boozer <sboozer@uchicago.edu> wrote:

SoH Voragh je Satlho'. For my part, I kind of like the idea of both variants potentially having some currency (cp. also other pairs like {jorneb}/{jornub}, {luq}/{lu'}, {SuH}/{Su'}, and probably a couple of others). And I admit I prefer {pIraQSIS} both because of the unusual orthographic combination of the four final letters (for the same reason as ghunchu'wI' has said he's fond of the word {HISIQ}), and because it's not as straightforwardly rendering the English spelling pronunciation. But YMMV. QeS 'utlh

That is a very good note which lead me to the creation of such a list in the Klingon Language Wiki. Does anyone remember more of those words? See: http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/Concurrency -- Lieven L. Litaer aka the "Klingon Teacher from Germany" http://www.klingonisch.de
