luq lu' HIja' HISlaH difference
Do we know what's the actual difference of the word luq compared to its' synonym lu' ? And the difference between the HIja' and its' synonym HISlaH ? Is for example luq considered to be more archaic/formal compared to the lu', or HIja' more casual than the HISlaH ? Or the other way around ? ~ Qa'yIn

There are no known differences between these pairs. They are both examples of words that Okrand wrote one way for /Star Trek III,/ and the actors mispronounced. He retrofit their mispronunciations into the language. -- SuStel http://trimboli.name
