Not directly related to the {qoj}, but with the qep'a' around the corner, I'd like to remind that we *still* don't have a jay' answer as to the correct verb prefix with regard(s) to the {joq}: "feed the owl and/or the cat": {lIr vIghro' joq yIje'} or {lIr vIghro' joq tIje'}? ~ Dana'an
AFAIK our only published example of {joq} “or, and/or” with a prefixed verb comes from _The Klingon Hamlet_ : ngIpwI' nojwI' joq yIDaQo' “Neither a borrower nor a lender be” (TKH Act I: Scene 3) Though I admit it’s not canon. We also have an example of {ghap} “or, either/or”: naQ megh'an 'er'In ghap yI'uch. naQ 'er'In megh'an ghap yI'uch. Grasp either end of the stick. (lit. "grasp the end or the other end of the stick") (HQ 12.2) -- Voragh _________________________________________________________________ From: mayqel qunen'oS Not directly related to the {qoj}, but with the qep'a' around the corner, I'd like to remind that we *still* don't have a jay' answer as to the correct verb prefix with regard(s) to the {joq}: "feed the owl and/or the cat": {lIr vIghro' joq yIje'} or {lIr vIghro' joq tIje'}?
