Because *jIH je* is just the word for /me/ followed by the word for /too./ Because let's face it: when one of us says *jIH je,* they're not thinking "I'm adding myself to the end of the previous speaker's subject and following it with a conjunction to make it seem like a natural continuation of the subject."
