The disclaimer is meant so that anybody who wants to sing the lyrics I wrote will hopefully do so knowing that they aren’t singing “Silent Night”. I don’t mind if anybody performs their own version of this as long as they don’t claim that it’s “Silent Night.” I would hate for a church choir to start dropping the j-bomb and talking about the things a running man can do in one night in front of a bunch of young children.
