Klingon Word of the Day for Wednesday, June 21, 2017
Klingon word: mI' tej Part of speech: noun Definition: mathematician
Source: qepHom 2016 Literally "number scientist". Note that this is given as two words while the only other official example {'otlhtej} "someone who studies quantum mechanics" from qepHom 2014 is one. Okrand has warned us, however, that spelling in compound nouns is somewhat fluid WRT word breaks. KGT 172: Agreeing is not a trait typically associated with Klingon nature, however, and apparently, at least under certain circumstances, this may extend to grammar as well. N.B. Don't confuse the noun {mI'} "number" with the homophonous verb {mI'} "dance, run in place, exercise, do calisthenics, do martial arts movements". -- Voragh tlhIngan ghantoH pIn'a' Ca'Non Master of the Klingons
