You could use {SaD DIS poH}, which is an established way to say "millennium". http://klingonska.org/canon/1999-09-holqed-08-3.txt I would add the law' after poH. There is also precedent enumerating things using {SaD law'} + noun. From paq'batlh (with my own English translations, as I don't have the original handy): SaD law' San chenmoH qeylIS "Kahless shaped the fates of thousands" tlheDDI' quvmoHmeH veng HeHDaq lutlha' SaD law' nuvpu' "Thousands of people followed [Kahless] to the edge of the town to salute his departure." //loghaD ________________________________________ From: tlhIngan-Hol <tlhingan-hol-bounces@lists.kli.org> on behalf of Will Martin <willmartin2@mac.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2019 13:08 To: tlhingan-hol@kli.org Subject: Re: [tlhIngan Hol] With trembling hands they offered.. On first glance, it’s like the difference between “many thousands of years ago” vs “many millennia ago”. Either works, though it’s probably more common to state a specific, inaccurate number than to state such a vague one. We don’t say, “Lots of hundreds of throats can be cut by a running man,” after all. Sent from my iPhone. charghwI’

On second thought, perhaps this would be better written as:
{SaD DIS law'qu' ret..}, in order to express the intended meaning of "many thousands years ago".
I don't know why, but placing the {law'qu'} after the {DIS} feels better.
I will shut up now.
