*qep'a' yIghuH : qul DIr yISop* *Be alerted to the major meeting. Eat the fire skin (i.e., act quickly)!* The *33rd Grand Meeting* of the KLI, *qep'a' wejmaH wejDIch*, is only two months away. I'm sure most of you already know what the *qep'a'* is all about, but for the benefit of newcomers: Each year the Klingon Language hosts a three-day conference. KLI members gather to meet in person and share their interest in Klingon language with like-minded enthusiasts. We use Klingon as any language is meant to be used: for play, song, conversation, cursing, and much more. Activities at the *qep'a'* include classes, games, Q&A sessions, meals (and midnight snacks), certification testing, singing, storytelling, award presentations, and plenty of unstructured socialization. This year's conference takes place July 9-11, at a familiar location: the Hyatt Place Indianapolis Airport. If you can't attend in person, you can participate virtually. Many of the in-person activities are streamed live, and some have online-only counterparts. For complete information, go to https://www.kli.org/activities/qepmey/qepa-wejmah-wejdich/ where you can see who's already signed up, and follow the links to register and to reserve a hotel room at the group rate. *qo'mey poSmoH Hol!* *Language opens worlds!* -- Alan Anderson / ghunchu'wI'
