Klingon word: ghojmoHwI' Part of speech: noun Definition: teacher _______________________________________________ (Lieven, 11/07/2016): The regular word for teacher is {ghojmoHwI'}. A teacher held in high esteem, of higher rank than other teachers in the same institution, could be {ghojmoHwI' quv} or {ghojmoHwI' Han} (v. be learned, scholarly, erudite). Probably the highest standing of all is a {'a'ghen}, which can be translated as master teacher or professor. See Lawrence Schoen's article in HolQeD 12.3 "Consensus". (lit. "special teacher") [source?] [KGT 59]: When teaching someone to use the bat'leth, the tutor will shout out movements--for example, {yIjop! yIway'!} (Lunge! Defend!). Generally in such a situation, however, the tutor will used the shortened form of the language known as Clipped Klingon and skip the imperative prefix {yI-}, leaving only the bare verb: {jop! way'!} It is important to note that the tutor is giving the student direct commands (Lunge! Defend!), not shouting out the names of movements. Note the new verb {choj} "train, coach" and {pIqcho' chojmoHwI'} "trainer (a fitness trainer)" from qepHom 2024 using the noun {pIqcho'} "athlete" from qep'a' 2020. -- Voragh Ca'Non Master of the Klingons
