Wow. Toki Pona has two different sign languages. One is a signed representation of spoken Toki Pona, like Signed English, which I learned nearly 50 years ago. The other is a “natural” sign language with its own grammar, word order, and the use of space, direction, motion… like American Sign Language, which I’ve learned more recently. So, if I become proficient at the “natural” version of signed Toki Pona, I’d achieve a level of nerdiness that would make Klingon speakers seem so… mainstream... The hard part, of course, would be to come up with nice things to say… I just hope my brain is still plastic enough to pull that off… And, of course, I’d have even FEWER people to talk to using the language… charghwI’^2 (charghwI’ squared) pItlh charghwI’ ‘utlh (ghaH, ghaH, -Daj)
