Maltz clarified the word {jegh} v. surrender, give up: This verb does not take an object. Its meaning is more along the lines of "capitulate, acquiesce, cave (in), back down, throw in the towel." For "surrender" in the sense of "relinquish, give away, let go of," use {Dergh} (which does take an object).
