I don’t know if this is interesting to others, but to a computer programmer using assembler, “nop” stands for “No OPerations”, which is what a CPU does a LOT of while it waits for you to type your next keystroke, or move your mouse. It’s basically jumping rope, waiting for something to do. CPUs are so fast and everything else in the system is so much slower, most of the time, your computer is doing nops a LOT. charghwI’ vaghnerya’ngan rInpa’ bomnIS be’’a’ pI’.
