[tlhIngan Hol] terran loanwords

(qep’a’ 2020):  It is not clear whether this is a native Klingon word or a borrowed Trill or Kriosian word or phrase meaning ‘ice man’, but, in any case, this is the Klingon pronunciation.

Off the top of my head there’s at least one from Vulcan:  {qatra’} *katra* or a Vulcan's disembodied living spirit.  Does anyone know of any others?  After the Dominion War and the Klingon involvement on Deep Space Nine and the Gamma Quadrant, I would also expect a (very) few from Bajoran and Cardassian.

The question is whether you want to distinguish between exotic words used to describe bizarre alien things from alien worlds - e.g. pizza! - or true loans absorbed and used more widely in the standard tlhIngan Hol  – like {qajunqaQ).  IIRC Krios was at one time a Klingon colony or protectorate.  Perhaps the word was brought back by Klingon occupation troops to the Homeworld where it caught on – like *gung ho* in American English.

Are you counting loanwords from languages other than Federation Standard? ;-) For example, {qajunpaQ} is a loanword from a language on Krios, and {ghormaghenDer} is likewise a loanword from another language.

So my point is: Does it make sense to have these two categories? Shouldn't it be just "loanword for terran things"?

I'm interested in your opinions.

Whether it makes sense to distinguish the two depends on what specifically you're trying to identify with your "loanword" and "Terran" markers.
