I'd like to run with that and propose the word *ghojwI'qoq*. A *ghojwI'qoq* would be something who is learning or at least dabbling in a field of endeavour/study, but is really a poser. Perhaps "great pretender" might be a translation of *ghojwI'qoq*. And then there's "Profundus Maximus":

Or would that just be a *ghojwI ngeb*?
