Lieven, since you are one of the *very* few people I truly respect in
the klingon speaking community, please don't take this reply as an
attempt on my behalf to appear confrontational against you. Most
people in the community I despise, a fact which I've never hidden, but
you're one of the very few I truly respect.

It's not that easy of a thing to do; the mind automatically goes to
the pun. It's hard to treat klingon as an alien language, when every
time I read {lerup} I'm thinking of purell..

Which in turn leads to having to use very long words, which when used
as {-meH}'ed or {-bogh}'ed nouns strain the reader's attention.

The only rules I actually acknowledge as rules, are the rules of
grammar. There's no rule stating that I need to worship every aspect
of klingon, let alone kiss its' ass. And I believe, after having
written my brains out in klingon, I've earned the right to have an
opinion.

It's people who haven't ever written (let alone translate something
difficult) whose opinion is worthless.

And it's people who look forward to the day when 'oqranD retires, so
that they'll take over just to please their already overinflated ego,
whose opinion is worthless.

At least I respect 'oqranD, even if I don't like some of his choices.
Its' people who are itching to take his place who disrespect him,
wishing to capitalize on his work the day he chooses to retire.
