Sherlock Holmes: new words
Dear friends of the Klingon language, for Andrew Miller's second translation of Sherlock Holmes, he has received some new words from Maltz. Only definitions in quotes are canon: {re'an}, meaning "collateral" or "pledge", to be used in the phrase {re'an Suy} "pawnbroker" {qo'rInwal}, meaning "Cornwall", the English county known for its indigenous Celtic language {ro'ma} "Roma, Romany" (people of Roma origin, in Sherlock Holmes called "Gipsy") (Source: Sherlock Holmes, The Red-Headed League, p. 6) The book can be ordered on Amazon right here: https://www.amazon.com/Sherlock-Holmes-Klingon-Red-Headed-League/dp/39117870... If you live in Germany, I'd prefer you order here: https://klingonisch.de/webshop/buecher/sherlock-holmes-in-klingon-the-red-he... -- Lieven L.
