What other languages make the {Sop}-{'ep}-{tlhutlh} distinction?
I was wondering which (natural, Earth) languages, if any, make the distinction that Klingon does, between {Sop}, {'ep}, and {tlhutlh}? English only distinguishes "eat" and "drink". Persian uses one word for "consume" (either food or drink). Are there other languages which make the 3-way distinction that Klingon does? Any which makes an even finer-grained distinction? -- De'vID

Not a direct answer, but a side note: In German, you can both "eat" and "drink" a soup. It depends on how you do it: using a spoon it's eat, but if you drink it, you move the cup to your mouth. -- Lieven L.
