This is one of the first Klingon words I memorized. I thought that bird dung that drops on me is still dung when it’s above me, but if I toss a coin and it hits the pavement and makes the noise “bing”, it doesn’t matter how high I toss the coin. These words are one of those linguistic jokes in Klingon. In English, front vowels tend to represent /up/ while back vowels tend to represent /down./ They're even called /high/ pitch and /low/ pitch. In Klingon, this is reversed. -- SuStel http://trimboli.name
