Klingon word: ghIt Part of speech: noun Definition: open, flat hand _______________________________________________ (KGT 63): These words, {DeS} and {ghIt}, when referring to humanoid anatomy, mean arm and open, flat hand (as opposed to a fist)... (qep'a' 2018): But there's also an idiomatic expression: {ro' mojchugh ghIt} "if the flat hand becomes a fist". Used in a similar fashion to the English "on the other hand".
