I'm not sure this was the intended pun, but it may be a good mnemonic: "be futile" "Resistance is futile" electrical resistance is "Ohm" Ohm is O. Okay. {qey} is "be futile" -- Lieven L. I generally assume that all post-TKD monosyllable new words are not puns. This sequence seems unlikely. -- SuStel http://trimboli.name

This sequence might seem unlikely, but many of the post-TKD monosyllable words do have puns that are not just guesses; just to name a few of the latest: 2017: jo' - Bazooka Joe 2017: peS - pez 2017: jel - Jello 2017: qut - crystal 2017: ghut - guts 2015: wev - warp and weft 2015: war - warp and weft ... and I'm sure there are many more. So I still assume that new words have a pun, but of course not all of them. -- Lieven L. "I generally assume." My default position is that there's no pun, unless a pun can be confirmed or is so blindingly obvious that no one can mistake it. By what you say above, your default position appears to be that there /is/ a pun, if only you can torture one out of hiding. -- SuStel http://trimboli.name

Yes, I admit I usually assume there is a pun, but I do not want to torture it out of hiding. -- Lieven L. Litaer aka the "Klingon Teacher from Germany" http://www.klingonisch.de http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/Puns
