Archive of past qep'a' & qepHommey
Each year one qep'a' and one qepHom take place. And as soon as they have taken place, the corresponding leaflet, which reveals the new vocabulary, grammar etc, is posted on this list. The only leaflets/pdf etc, that I have are the ones of the qep'a'/qepHommey having taken place from the summer of 2016, until now, since I joined this list, a few months before 2016. Can I find somewhere, the archive of the past qep'a'/qepHommey ? Is there an archive somewhere ? ~ m. qunen'oS

No, surely not lost. Only not yet published entirely. The main contents, i.e. words and definitions are out there definitely. -- Lieven L. Litaer aka the "Klingon Teacher from Germany" http://www.klingonisch.de http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/StarTrekDiscovery

I have started doing so at hte qepHom's page, and later at the wiki, but neither of them are complete: http://www.qephom.de/e/message_from_maltz.html http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWords http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsNetflix http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepHom2017 http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepHom2018 http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepa18 http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepa23 http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepa24 http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/NewWordsQepa25 (this reminds me I should add them finally, but you know... time...) -- Lieven L. Prior to when I started making them for the qep'a' I've helped run, I don't believe there were any published leaflets or notes released during the event. The qep'a' I attended prior to being involved in them didn't have any kind of handouts, but there may have been something in the years before that, although no one has ever mentioned such a thing to me. Anything of interest that showed up was recorded in HolQeD. qurgh On Mon, Jun 24, 2019 at 3:57 AM mayqel qunen'oS <mihkoun@gmail.com> wrote:

Interesting; does this apply for the qepHommey too ?
No, because HolQeD stopped before we got new words at the qepHom. All the new words of the German qepHom are printed in each year's exercise booklet. The words themselves were always immediately forwarded to boQwI' and the KLI's new words list. The pages themselves were never scanned or published, but parts of them can be seen at the pages I've mentioned in the previous message. -- Lieven L. As a matter of fact, {boQwI'} usually has a lot more information on recently-revealed entries than on older ones. There are several reasons for this. New words from recent years usually come a few dozen at a time (though that number has been growing), released at specific times of year. This means Okrand has more time to work out the details around each word/phrase, and more information to give. I also budget time around each {qep'a'}/{qepHom} to enter everything in to {boQwI'}. This is unlike the situation with the books, where he released thousands of words at once. I basically spent... months?... copying the word lists back then. Even in those cases where Okrand spent some time discussing a word or phrase in a book (mostly in KGT or TKW), the information is often missing from {boQwI'}. Partly, this was due to lack of time to enter all the information, but partly it was so people still have to buy the books to get all the information (which protects Okrand's income). You'll see a number of entries where it says "For more information, see KGT p.xxx" and so on, because I assume that TKD/KGT/TKW will be available to most people. For the new words from the {qep'a'}/{qepHom}, I include all the information as I assume most people won't know where to access the original booklets, and perhaps they may not even be available online. -- De'vID
Speaking as a beginner, the information which needs to be available, is information on words being released in qep'a'mey, qepHommey, HolQeD, mailing list, and crap like that. I agree with De'vID, that if a word has been released in a book, then buy the jay' book. After all, how do you expect to learn the language, if you don't have the book of that language ? But the problem is, when we talk about info released in qep'a'mey, qepHommey, mailing list, HolQeD or on some qeylIS-forsaken-go-figure source. *Then* is the problem. ~ hjkkjhkhj
