We got two new words at the qep'a' that would apply: {Hal} "be porous" and {bum} "absorb". So {bumwI' Hal} "porous absorber" would work. Maybe you could throw in {ngogh} "brick, lump, block" and/or {tun} "be soft" if you need to be more specific.
