For "hardy", as in "tough, durable", I might use something like:

SIQlaH "can endure"

taHlaH "can go on"

'omlaH "can resist"

cherghlaH "can tolerate"

roSlu'chugh HoStaH "takes a lickin', keeps on tickin'" (chaq Saghchu'be' qechvam...)
