It's true that this seems to imply that he was expecting a female sheep
when he asked for a sheep.

A male sheep is not a sheep. This is made clear in the White Horse Dialogue (白馬論), which I suppose 'ISqu' can translate into Klingon now that she's done with Sun Tzu's Art of War.
