That reminds me of something KCD executive producer Keith Halper wrote in “Star Trek: Klingon!” (i.e., the KCD novelization), p. 212:

 

    "[Okrand's] literal translation is always skewed a bit, so if you
      send him ‘Row, row, row your boat’, you'll get back ‘Propel,
      propel, propel your craft’
."

 

Note that propel is {vo'}.  But I like yours better.
