Short answer:  Because I thought it was relevant.   And because it was all I had in my notes.

Long answer:   Because nIqolay Q already posted it to the list and I was thus able to copy-and-paste it into my notes and, from there, to the Word of the Day.  I don’t know whether he was at the qep’a’ or if he merely restated some of the extensive material distributed there.  I haven’t had time to add all of this material to my notes; there were several pages as I recall.  Which is of course good for learners, but bad for overwhelmed lexicographers trying to keep up with the flood of new material.  Not that I’m complaining.  {{{;-)

This is why I try to give the source of each quote, so the collective can decide for itself their its usefulness.

I notice that the quote comes from nIqolay Q. What makes this quote so important, that it appears on the comments of the word of the day ?

I mean no disrespect to nIqolay Q, but since I usually add comments from the word of the day to my notes, I wonder what makes this specific note so important.

(nIqolay Q, 9/01/2017):   If you want to convey the idea of "more than some amount" in a positive way, or at least a value-neutral way, you could try the new word {vey'}. It was glossed as "be comfortable" at the {qep'a'}, in the sense of "a comfortable income", but the core idea is "be more than enough, be more than is just sufficient". (The notes say it's similar to {yap}, which suggests it refers to the thing that one has a comfortable amount of, rather than, e.g., the person who has the comfortable life.)
