There is some overlap between the two, in that slang will often be idiomatic.

I was involved in this conversation, and this is all I was saying (and I believe what ghunchu'wI' was also saying - he was the "someone").

I was just trying to explain that many of the "single words used idiomatically" in Klingon fall under the "slang" heading (because, as SuStel says, "slang will often be idiomatic"). The claim wasn't that "slang" is just another name for "idiom", but if one is to create a list of "single words used idiomatically" (as Lieven suggested he was going to do on his Wiki) that one should look at the "slang" words out there to help build that list.
