Both of my requests, "Jew", and "peanut", got in this year. (Though I sent in my qepHom requests a couple of days ago and asked whether *ju'Da* refers only to the Jewish faith, or whether it can refer to ethnic Jews too.)
However, I found myself puzzling over the pun behind the word for peanut, *qonglIl*.
Until a few minutes ago, that is. I looked at the ng and wondered if it could be a xifan pun.
I transliterated it into xifan: koflil. Then turned it backwards: lilfok.
Then it hit me! Li'l Folks was the original name of Charles Schulz's comic strip, Peanuts.
My prediction for "peanut" also looked to the comic strip: *vanpel*. So I'd score 1 point on that.
