The English translation makes sense, but the Klingon doesn't.
First, while English can use a single word like "because" or "if" (or a phrase like "in order to") on a multiple-verb subordinate clause, Klingon needs to put the syntactic-marking Type 9 suffix on each verb in the clause.
Second, if you can't translate {vaj} as "thus", you're probably using it wrong. I think you're using it wrong.
