thanks !

before I write the final sentence {tlhoy le' DaHjaj ram gyros}, I thought of writing:

{DaHjaj ram tlhoy le' gyros}. But I chose not to write this, because *it felt* as if it was expressing "every night I buy from the same seller, but tonight something happened, and that seller made a better gyro".

Then I thought of writing:

{DaHjaj ram tlhoy le' gyros vISopta'bogh}. but again *I felt* that the further away I place the "gyros" from the {DaHjaj ram}, the more its significance is weakened (if this makes any sense).

It is not that "every night I eat gyro, and tonight it happens to be exceptional" (which I *feel* is conveyed by the previous two sentences); it is that tonight "it so happened that I ate it, and this gyros, *tonight's gyros* was exceptional".

So, I went with the {DaHjaj ram gyros}, and I'm happy to hear that it is a legal construct.

I wrote this to mean "the gyros of tonight was excellent". however I need to ask: can someone use a timestamp (in this case {DaHjaj ram}), as the first pair of a noun-noun construction, where the second noun is being possessed by the first ? Can we say {DaHjaj Soj}, for "today's food" ?
