Agreed, although we’re told that Sev is a “militaristic act”:

HIv, attack, assault; Sev, contain; HeD, retreat, withdraw) and nouns (yot,
invasion, raid, incursion; Hub, defense).
For contain (have inside) there is ngaS. See also Dech

N.B. Do not confuse with the verb {Sev} "contain (an enemy)".
Surely they're related. To merely contain an enemy (as opposed to eliminating them or getting them to surrender) is a temporary solution to a problem, just like a bandage.
