Here's a completely tangential observation.

Type 9 suffixes do one of three things.

1. Turn a verb into a noun. -wI', -ghach.

2. Turn a verbal clause into a dependent clause. -bogh, -chugh, -DI', -meH, -mo', -pa', -vIS.

3. Change the mood of the sentence.
    -'a' gives the sentence the interrogative mood.
    -jaj gives the sentence the optative mood (thanks QeS).
