matter of choice of words. The only way I can understand it is
"in a tower you aren't safe too", i.e. "among the various
places where you aren't safe, is a tower too".</div>

<p>It's not so much that <b>je</b> <i>refers</i> to a particular
word in the sentence.</p>
<p>Following verbs, the role of <b>je</b> is something like: this
sentence is the same as the previous one except for the different
word.</p>
<p>The "previous sentence" might only be implied, but the reference
exists nevertheless.</p>
<p><b>HoD vIleghpu'. qaleghpu' je.</b> <i>I saw the captain. I saw
you, too.<br>
</i><b>Duleghpu' HoD. qaleghpu' je.</b><i> The captain saw you. I
saw you, too.<br>
