_______________________________________________
(KLS): A food delicacy, white colored, usually served over purple legumes.
(KGT 94): If a dish with a standard preparation technique (a {nay' motlh}, "usual dish") is being offered, asking how it is to be prepared is a demonstration of cultural ignorance. Thus, in addition to pipius claw, questions about {bIreQtagh} (bregit lung), {targh tIq} (heart of targ), {raHta'} (racht), {tlhImqaH} (zilm'kach), and {Qaj tlhuQ) (kradge tail) should be avoided.
TREK NOTES:
First seen in TNG "A Matter of Honor" and subsequently shown on KCD: "Breathing organ of any of a number of Klingon beasts, prepared in a manner that preserves its tough texture and blotched color." (KCD, via qoror)
Riker liked the bregit lung served on the IKC Pagh. (TNG "A Matter of Honor")
On the Rotarran, Ch'Targ poured almost an entire bottle of grapok sauce onto Alexander's bregit lung, saying that it "brings out the flavor." Alexander didn't care for it. (DS9 "Sons and Daughters ")
SEE:
tagh lung (n)
gha'poq grapok [sauce] (n)

Klingons have a third lung, which provides extra stamina on the battlefield and is also useful to athletes. (VOY "Lineage")
